About Dee Goodz

Dee Goodz may have just begun his rap career a year ago, but has been in love with rap music his entire life.

Dee Goodz who was living in Nashville, Tennessee decided to move to the West Coast to pursue his musical aspirations and dream of becoming a successful artist. Goodz feels to make music is easy, but to make good music… That’s the difficult part. 

 Before going to the West Coast to embark on his music journey, he attended Alabama A&M University in 2005. During his tenure there, he dropped his premier mix-tape release, “College Kids & Dropouts Vol. 1”, hosted by Nashville’s own Core DJ- “DJ Crisis”, which would put Dee Goodz on the map. It received more than 3,500 downloads in less than 48 hours.  After graduating from Alabama A&M, he blessed his listeners with his second mix-tape on July 4th 2010, entitled “ConGRADulations” which received 4,500 downloads within two hours. Dee Goodz went in depth as to what was going on in his life as a college graduate, with great production and vicious lyrics. His experiences there intertwined with the life lessons taught to him by his parents, has given this aspiring rap star an unquenchable desire to achieve not only in the music industry, but in subsequent life. 

After years of studying the works of some of the most influential musicians to ever touch a microphone, Goodz had an epiphany.  He felt as though he had his own story to tell, a story like no other. The moment he began to understand himself as a person, he discovered himself as an artist. In his latest summer 2010 mix-tape release, “Floetic Justice”  hosted by Rocksmith Tokyo Clothing Company, “FJ” received over 10,000 downloads in just one week.  In Floetic Justice, Goodz uses his eclectic style and clever lyrical content to uplift and enlighten the youth.

Dee Goodz can appeal to the masses. Being featured on popular sites such as MTV UK, CultureShockMag.com, HipHopDX.com, SmokingSection.net, 2Dopeboyz.com, Concretememphismag.com, Acclaimmag.com and Allhiphop.com Dee has earned a great deal of admirers far and near. In his mixtapes,you’ll find drops from the likes of DJ Drama, Jim Jones, Snoop Dogg and even one from mix-tape king, Fabolous. These stamps of approval ensure that Dee Goodz is someone to watch out for,  as he embarks on truly becoming a force in today’s game.
